Place the appropriate number of objects next to the number. 

Materials required

Number flashcards/cut-outs of calendar and bowl and counting materials like small pebbles.

Activity:

Numbers 1 to 10 are cut from the calendar and folded into small chits.

Parent to make sure some small pebbles/ stones are taken in a tray along with these chits.

The child is asked to pick up a chit, open the chit and see the number. Next, he is asked to take out the same amount of pebbles/stones by counting them.

Like this, the child is asked to pick up any one chit, open it, take out the same amount of pebbles, show it to the mother and put it back.

Physical Skills Development – Fine Motor skills

Makes shapes (square and circle) with play dough.

Parents to help their child to make shapes of square and circle with play dough.

7.Mind-Shapes

Cognitive Skills Development

Find the circle-shaped paper from a bowl.

Materials required

Paper cut in different shapes and a bowl.

Activity:

Mother to cut all the learned shapes from paper. There must be at least 3 cut-outs of each shape (3 circles, 3 squares, 3 rectangles, 3 triangles and 3 semicircles). She then places these shapes in a bowl and mixes them properly. 

 Later she asks her child to find and take out only circle shaped paper cut-outs from the bowl and place it on the floor.
