Parents to play the following game with their child along with siblings and friends so that the child understands the difference between start and finish.

1.     First write START at one corner of your room/hall/corridor.

2.     Then write FINISH at another corner of your room/hall/corridor.

3.     Ask children to stand in the area where START is marked.

4.     Now call out START aloud and ask children to run and reach the other corner where FINISH is marked.

5.     When the children reaches the FINISH area, say FINISH so that the children understand that they have finished the game.

Cognitive Skills Development

Differentiate between pleasant and unpleasant smells.

Materials required

ithar, black salt, hing, water, rubber bands

Activity:

Mother to take a  few pieces of cloth and put a few drops of ithar on two pieces. Next, dilute black salt and hing with water separately and sprinkle on other pieces of cloth. Make balls separately with each piece of cloth with the help of rubber bands. 

   The mother then gives each ball of cloth and asks the child to smell and say 'PLEASANT' for a pleasant smell and  'UNPLEASANT' for an unpleasant smell. 

   After smelling all the pieces of clothes, the mother makes the child keep the pleasant pieces of cloth separately and unpleasant pieces of cloth separately.
