Observation skills Development-

My child will be able to

observe the growth of the plant and record his/her observation by drawing and writing in the journal.

Materials required

journal, a pot or a a tray filled with soil, methi seeds, water.

Day 1:

Take a pot filled with soil and plant a few methi seeds. Draw/ Write what you did on the first day.

Everyday sprinkle some water and check what's happening.

Draw/ Write what you observed in your journal.

(Parents to guide the child observe the seeds grow up into small plants and record their observations in the journal.

Hunting for new words

Activity

Let’s hunt for new words:

Look around your house for new words and try to read them on your own. If you are able to read it, write it down in your book. (You can take newspapers, magazines or refer banners/posters)

How many words were you able to read? Write the number in your notebook.

Self Control

Spiritual Development

practice self-control by waking up for fajr

Materials required

alarm clock

Activity:

Parents to help the child to wake up for fajr by setting up an alarm. (This is not to be forced. Parents are requested to support the child in waking up early and watch the elders at home read fajr salaah. This will serve as a motivation to help the child understand the importance of salaah)
